MA RAD RTS Rambert Grades

Susie started dancing at Gedling Ballet School in Nottingham. At age 8 she successfully auditioned for a place as a Royal Ballet School Associate and attended classes there for 6 years. During her time as an RBS associate, she was picked to perform and tour with Birmingham Royal Ballet in various productions, most notably as Morgan Le Fay in the ballet ‘Arthur’ at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and then on a UK tour.

At age 14 Susie accepted a scholarship place at Elmhurst Assoc. School of Birmingham Royal Ballet, and then went on to complete her training at Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary Dance. At Rambert Susie achieved a BA (Hons) as well as an MA in Advanced Dance Performance.

Susie has worked with many choreographers as a student such as Kerry Nicholls, Ross McKim and Mark Baldwin and her professional work includes Ballet Theatre UK, Ampersandance, Royal Shakespeare Company and English National Opera.

During her time training and performing Susie was teaching in various schools and establishments over the country, including being the ballet coach for the figure skaters at the National Ice centre. In 2020 she became a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and Rambert Grades. She is also a mentor on the RAD teacher training course. She currently teaches in a number of settings in London and Nottingham.

As a devoted teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience Susie enjoys working with all ages and abilities. Bringing a warmth and energy into her lessons, Susie fosters a love for dance and encourages others to share in that passion.

Dolly trained in ballet and jazz dance at Rona Hart School of Dance in London from the ages of 2-18. She also took lessons at The Place in their youth contemporary dance programs as well as the Cecchetti Associates scheme before starting vocational training at London Studio Centre. Here she gained experience a wide range of dance and performance styles, developing a particular passion for contemporary dance.

As a member of Images, London Studio Centre’s third year ballet company, Dolly performed in works by Will Tuckett and Jennifer Jackson of the Royal Ballet, Jenna Lee of English National Ballet and Constant Vigier of Scottish Ballet.
Since graduating with a first class BA(hons) in 2023 she has been developing her own practice as a multidisciplinary dance artist and choreographer, taking inspiration from jazz, commercial and hip-hop as well as contemporary and ballet. She is also a classically trained singer.

She recently performed ‘Mr Greentree: My Wish Was My Command’, a contemporary solo by Richard Bermange about the Austrian cabaret performer Fritz Grünbaum, in London and Brighton to critical acclaim. She is also featured as a dancer and singer in ‘Be(longing)’ by London filmmaker Michael Mendones, a film exploring the topic of neurodiversity, currently shown at the Bethlem Gallery.

Dolly has loved being a part of Hackney Ballet since she began teaching in 2024. She loves creating as much joy as possible in every lesson and hopes to inspire everyone to fall in love with dance just as she did as a young child!

Hana began her dance training at the age of 3 at Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver, Canada, where she completed her RAD exams up to Grade 6 and developed a strong foundation in classical ballet. She later trained as an Associate at the National Ballet of Canada and continued her studies with former principal ballerina, Evelyn Hart, including performing in The Sleeping Beauty with the company.

As a young dancer, Hana took part in various national competitions in Canada, gaining valuable solo and group performance experience in both ballet and contemporary work. During her teens she also attended summer intensives with the Joffrey Ballet in New York and Chicago, and trained with K Ballet in Tokyo. She completed her Cecchetti Inter to Advanced and RAD Advanced 1 exams during this time. Hana also danced with Cadence Youth Ballet Company, where she had early opportunities to choreograph and perform on tour.

Hana has been teaching ballet to young dancers since 2015 and has supported several stage productions, including the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition. Alongside dance, she has taught English as a second language to children and she mentors annually with the women’s empowerment organisation BelEve.

Outside the studio, Hana works as a solicitor and is fluent in Japanese. She is delighted to be part of Hackney Ballet and to share her love of dance with her students!

Faye is a dance artist and teacher with a background in contemporary, ballet, performance and youth engagement.

She began her training at the age of 3 and completed her RAD ballet exams including RAD Advanced 1. She then went on to train at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance.
Faye has also been a member of the National Youth Dance Company, working with choreographers including Botis Seva and Russell Maliphant where she got the opportunity to tour nationally at 16.
She has since continued to develop her practice through performance, facilitation and teaching, working with organisations including Sadler’s Wells, National Youth Dance Company and Dance United Yorkshire.

Faye has experience working with children and young people across a range of ages and abilities, delivering creative workshops, dance classes and mentoring programmes in schools and community settings. She particularly enjoys creating positive, welcoming environments where young dancers can build confidence, explore their creativity and develop a love of movement.
